This could have been stunning.....

.

Chic No. 204 + Konad black polish + Konad plate No. 65

O.K, so that's how a ruined Konadicure looks like…..

Sad !

And the worst part is that I can't tell you for sure why is that happened…..

I had on my nails Chic No. 204 , which I showed you on my last post, and it was so beautiful that I decided not to take it off and do some Konad over it.

I used Konad plate no. 65 and Konad special black polish and the stamping turned out perfect !

After I finished stamping, I waited about 20 minutes for it to dry, because from my experience with Konad, if you apply the Topcoat right after the stamping, it ruins it.

So I waited….

And then, when I applied the topcoat, it all got spread, as you can see….

I don't know why exactly it happened….maybe I should have wait more, maybe to this image with black polish takes more time to get dry…..but it was pretty disappointing to see a perfect Konadicure get ruined….

So I've decided to share this with you so you'll know to wait long enough after stamping your nails before applying topcoat over them and also so you can see what a potential this konadicure had – my nails looked so beautiful – and maybe you'll want to try it yourself !

Oh no! I personally think it still looks pretty good but I understand how annoying it is when a konadicure gets ruined!
I never wait for my nails to dry before I put the topcoat over the konad and I never have any issues...do you use the konad special topcoat?

I like the look though, I have that image plate so going to try it!

I think that it is still very pretty!

Well...the design is fabulous even it did smear a little. Very retro,it reminds me of the 60's era.

I put the Konad special top coat on right away. I put it on thick and try not to touch the brush to the nail. You actually hover over the top. Am I making sense.
Still looks pretty cute. :)

I think the trick to avoid streaking is to just use a VERY light touch, if it's sloppy do another coat later, but the Konad black is the worst for being messy =(

I can wait 10, 20 or 30 minutes after stamping, top coat ruins my mani very very often.

Try to take more top coat on your brush and apply it without touching your nail with it, only touch with top coat (that's why it's necessary to take more top coat on the brush)

Sorry if you don't understand what I mean lol

Hi Tuli, I'm with Michele, I too thought it looked like a drop shadow! I had to go back and look at it to see what you were talking about. It's a really cute color and pattern combo though! Very retro. ♥
PS I still owe you an email! I haven't forgotten you!

I hate it when that happens, but then I try to remember that you have look at your nails really closely to actually see the smudging.
I've read that one possible trick to avoid the smudging is to drag the top coat on the nail in one stroke of course and without the brush touching the nail at all. It means you need to load a big glob of top coat on your brush and not press it too hard on the nail. I don't know if it works though...I haven't had time to do some Konad in a while now.

I still like it!

I think it IS gorgeous anyway - no one will detect those little mistakes unless looking *very* closely, but nevertheless I understand your frustration ;)
I totally agree with chocaddict - I always try to use that technique, and usually it turns out just fine. But I guess it could work out different with different polishes - chemical composition varies, and so on - it's trial & error ;)
Now you stop being so hard on yourself, girlie - you did a great job anyway!

Don't worry *hugs* It's still lovely, the colour combo is gorgeous. But I know what you mean, I'm also too hard on myself when it comes to perfection:**
Since a while I've been using only Konad special topcoat over their black polish, the amount of topcoat must be such that you cannot touch the image on the nail with the brush, it should glide smoothly over it.

Glittermillie - Good luck :-) I'm sure it would look gorgeous on your nails :-) I don't use konad special topcoat, but I never had problems before....maybe I should get me one...

L - Thank you sweetie :-)

Delaynee - LOL...you made me smile :-) Thank you for your kind words !

Gildedangel - Thanks hun ! I also think it's pretty, but it looked perfect before the topcoat...

Velvet - Retro indeed.....I thought this too :-)

Susies1955 - Thank you ! And yes, you're making sense and I know what you're talking about, I also use it like that....but maybe this time I used it wrong...and maybe I should get me the special topcoat :-)

Colette - Yes, I know that trick, but I guess this time I wasn't using my topcoat in the right way...and you're right, the black really is the worst for being messy :-)

Celine - Oh, I totally understand you, thank you :-) I'm also using the topcoat over konad this way, but I guess I did it wrong this time and I'll have to be more careful in the future :-)

Alia Shardae - Thank you so much :-) And you really should - it's so fun !

Michele - LOL.....thank you :-)))

Nicole - Oh, I know you haven't forgotten, take your time :-))) And thank you for your words <3

Chocaddict - You're right, you don't see it from far :-) And I guess I need to practice more on the topcoat issue...lol

Kitty - Thank you sweetie <3

Vanessa - Thank you :-) You're right, nobody can tell this from far, but it's still annoying....you know what I mean :-) xoxo

KONADomania - Thank you for your kinds words :-) As I wrote, maybe I should get me that special topcoat.....

Kaur - תודה יקירתי :-) השילוב הזה היה כל כך מיוחד על הציפורניים, שבסוף נתתי לו עוד יום והשארתי אותו עד למחרת :-)

Hilda - Thank you :-) I really like this combination too :-)
