My Birthday nails !!!

So yesterday I told you the story about my birthday week and today it's time for the birthday polish, isn't it ?

And this time I'm going to do something that I think I've never done in this blog, and show you a polish that has been on me for several days, so here is my birthday polish – I'm wearing it since Friday and that's how it looks today.

As you can see, beside a very small and almost invisible fading, it looks amazing !

This is Zoya Astra and I received it on a swap I did with the lovely Arie – this is one of the three polishes that came out on Zoya's glitter collection and it seemed to me very festive and sparkly and appropriate for the occasion. And I guess I wasn't wrong about it – because I got many compliments and great responses on my sparkly polish J

It's hard for me to define its exact color – it's kind of a reddish dark pink and I mean that it lean toward the red but it's still pink. It has a jelly base - the base is sheer pink and you get the color from the thousand packed glitter, which means that yes, we're talking about layers here.

It took me 4 coats to get this opaque sparkly look, you can go with 3 if you insist but less is not an option. The drying time between the coats is fast, so overall it doesn't take so much time to apply it. Above all, I applied a Seche topcoat and as I said, it lasted well on me until today.

So what do you say ? Is it birthday appropriate ?

אז את סיפור היומולדת סיפרתי אתמול ואי אפשר גם בלי לק יומולדת, נכון ?

והפעם אני הולכת לעשות משהו שלא נראה לי שעשיתי עד עכשיו בבלוג הזה והוא להראות לכן לק שהיה עליי כבר כמה ימים. אז הנה לק היומולדת שלי – שמתי אותו ביום שישי ועדיין לא הורדתי אותו וככה הוא נראה היום.

כמו שאתן יכולות לראות, חוץ מנסיגה ממש קטנטונת וכמעט בלתי נראית לעין הוא נראה מדהים !

הלק הוא Astra של Zoya וקיבלתי אותו בהחלפה שעשיתי עם Arie המקסימה – הוא אחד משלושת הלקים שיצאו בקולקציית הנצנצים של זויה והוא היה נראה לי מאוד חגיגי ונוצץ ומתאים למאורע המיוחד. וכנראה שלא טעיתי – כי אכן נרשמה התעניינות בציפורניים ותגובות מפרגנות ללק הנוצץ J

את הצבע שלו קשה לי להגדיר במדויק – מעין ורוד כהה – אדמדם והכוונה שלי היא שהוא נוטה לכיוון האדום, אבל עדיין מדובר בסוג של ורוד. הוא במרקם ג'לי כשהבסיס עצמו הוא ורוד חצי שקוף ואת הטון נותנים אלפי הנצנצים הדחוסים, מה שאומר שכן, מדובר כאן בעבודה שכבות.

ארבע שכבות נדרשו לי כדי להגיע למראה האטום והנוצץ הזה. אפשר להסתפק גם בשלוש אם אתן מתעקשות אבל פחות מזה לא בא בחשבון כאן. זמן הייבוש בין שכבה לשכבה הוא מהיר, כך שאין צורך לחכות הרבה בין השכבות ובסה"כ זה לא לוקח כל כך הרבה זמן. מעל הכל שמתי את המייבש של Seche וכמו שאמרתי, הלק החזיק עליי מעמד יפה עד היום.

אז מה אתן אומרות ? מתאים ליומולדת ?

כמוני, בטח גם אתן כבר ראיתן סווטצ'ים ושמעתן על הלק הזה לא פעם, אבל הנה שני הסנט שלי:

את הלק הזה קיבלתי בחבילה מ- Arie המקסימה, יחד עם עוד לקים של Zoya שהיא שלחה לי.

Zoya Isla הוא אדום שימרי כהה, עם מה שנקרא "קצוות מושחרים", הווה אומר, בקצוות של הציפורניים הלק נראה יותר כהה, מה שגורם למרכז הציפורן להיראות בהיר וזוהר יותר וכך נוצר אפקט של "עומק". ומה אני אגיד לכן, אכן הצבע נראה עמוק ועשיר והלק הזה, למרות שבאתי אליו בגישה סקפטית (נו, אדום, בוא תנסה להרשים אותי....) הצליח להרשים אותי.

מבחינת שכבות זה הולך ככה – הוא אטום כבר בשכבה ראשונה, הוא נראה טוב אחרי שתי שכבות אבל תקשיבו לי, אתן תרצו את השכבה השלישית – כמו שהיה בלק הקודם שהראיתי לכן (Zoya Rihana) גם כאן השכבה השלישית מכהה אותו קצת ונותנת לו מימד נוסף של עומק.

מבחינת מריחה הוא בסדר. גם כאן, לא התלהבתי מהמברשת, היא יוצרת בעיה של כמות גדולה מדי עם לק נוזלי מדי, מה שגרם לבועות בפעם הראשונה ששמתי אותו, כך שהייתי צריכה לעשות את זה שוב. זה לא שהפורמולה לא טובה, לדעתי אין בעיה עם הפורמולה אלא העניין הוא עם המברשת. זה לא כזה סיפור רציני אבל צריך למרוח את הלק הזה עם קצת יותר תשומת לב.

לדעתי – שווה את זה לגמרי, כי הוא באמת ממש מקסים !

Zoya - Isla

Like me, I guess you already saw swatches and heard about this polish not once, but here are my 2 cents:

I received this polish from the lovely Arie, together with more polishes from Zoya she has sent me.

Zoya Isla is a dark shimmering blackened red. This is a deep and rich color and this polish, although I was pretty skeptic about it (well, another red…), has managed to impress me.

It is opaque already in the first coat, it looks good after 2 coats but trust me, you'll want to add the third coat – like Zoya Rihana I showed you last week, the third coat makes it a bit darker and gives more depth to it also.

Application wise it's o.k.. here also, I wasn't so impressed with the brush, it creates a problem of too much polish in a pretty runny formula, which causes bubbles on the first time I applied it, so I had to do it all over again. It's not that the formula is not good, it is, but I think it's a brush issue. Don't get me wrong, it's not a big dill, but you just have to be a bit more careful when applying this polish.

To my opinion – it's totally worth it, because it really is a beauty !

Zoya Rihana - Who said gorgeous ???

הלק הראשון שבחרתי לנסות מהחבילה של Arie, הוא Zoya Rihana – סגול אדמדם שימרי, מעין סגול שזיף כהה. אני חובבת גדולה של הגוונים האלה, כי מלבד העובדה שהם פשוט מהממים לדעתי, אני ממש אוהבת לראות אותם על היד שלי (בניגוד לצבעים מסויימים שהם מהממים לדעתי אבל לא על גוון העור שלי). האמת כשאני חושבת על זה, נראה לי שהגוונים האלה יתאימו לכל גוון עור.....

הלק הזה נראה קצת שונה בכל אור וזה מה שהופך אותו גם לכל כך מיוחד, באור מסוים הוא נראה יותר סגול ובאור מסוים הוא נראה יותר בורדו – בתמונה האחרונה אתן ממש יכולות לראות על הציפורניים גם את הבורדו וגם את הסגול, ניסיתי לתפוס את הזוית שבה הוא משנה את הצבע...

המריחה עברה בלי בעיות מיוחדות. משהו במברשת קצת הפריע לי, אבל לא הצלחתי לשים את האצבע על משהו ספציפי...

הוא נראה טוב כבר אחרי שתי שכבות, אבל השכבה השלישית הכהתה אותו קצת והוסיפה לו את העומק שחיפשתי (אז כן, לדעתי השכבה השלישית היא חובה כאן). הוא מתייבש די מהר ונראה מבריק ומלא חיים על היד – בתמונות צילמתי לכן אותו גם בלי טופקואוט וגם עם טופקואוט כדי שתוכלו להתרשם, אבל אני יכולה להגיד לכן שהטופקואוט הוסיף הרבה לדעתי.

הצבע מושלם לדעתי והוא בהחלט הולך להיכנס לרשימת הפייבוריטים שלי !

The first polish I chose to try from Arie's package is Zoya Rihana – a shimmering reddish purple, kind of a dark plum shade. I'm a big fan of these shades because beside the fact I think they're stunning, I really love to see them on my hands (as opposed to certain colors which I also consider as stunning but not on my skin tone). Well, when I think of that, I think these shades would fit any skin tone……

This polish looks different in different lights and that what makes it so special. In some lights it seems more purple and in others it seems more burgundy – in the last picture you can actually see on my nails the purple and the burgundy together, I tried to catch the angel where it's changing its color….

The application went without any special problems, something was a bit bothering me with the brush, but I couldn't lay my finger on something specific….

It looks good already after 2 coats, but the third coat made it a bit darker and added the depth I was looking (so yes, I think a third coat is a must have here). It dries pretty quick and looks bright and vibrant on the nails – I took picture of it both with and without topcoat, but I can tell you the topcoat added to its beauty.

I think this color is perfect and it's definitely going to enter my favorites list !

שבוע של חג וחגיגות וניתוק (כמעט) מחולט מהאינטרנט ושבתי בכוחות מחודשים ! התגעגעתי ממש !

איך עבר החג אצלכן ? מקווה שכולכן נהניתן מהחופש ועשיתן חיים ! ומי שהספיקה גם לנוח שתרים יד J

כמה בישלתי בחג הזה.......הכל כדי לנסות ולהימנע ככל האפשר מלהאביס את עצמי במצות כל היום.....חחחחח

ואי אפשר גם בלי כמה מתנות לפסח, נכון ? אז הנה מתנה שקיבלתי קצת לפני החג ועוד לא הספקתי להראות לכן !

חבילה שכולה זויה !!!

Arie המקסימה שכותבת את הבלוג Catch The Beauty With Arie שלחה לי את החבילה המהממת הזאת במסגרת החלפת חבילות שעשינו בינינו. תוסיפו לזה גם קרם ידיים מעולה וממתקים ומה צריך יותר מזה ?

מכיוון שאת הלקים האלה גם היא היתה צריכה להזמין במיוחד, הפעם הצבעים לא היו הפתעה אלא צבעים שאני בחרתי, אבל עדיין, כשקיבלתי אותם הייתי מופתעת J הם פשוט מהממים אחד אחד !

Arie פשוט שיחקה אותה עם החבילה הזאת ואני כל כך שמחה על ההזדמנות שהיא נתנה לי להרחיב את אוסף הזויה שלי !

אז הנה החבילה בהופעת בכורה ! לא הספקתי לעשות סווטצ'ים בחג, אבל דגמתי את כולם על גלגל הציפורניים כדי שתוכלו להתרשם J

Hellooooo, I'm back J

After a week of holiday, family dinners, lots of cooking and time with hubby and friends, I'm back again J I missed you a lot !

And you can't go without some presents for the holiday, isn't it ? So here is a present I got a couple of days before the holiday and haven't managed to show you yet !

All Zoya package !

I got this wonderful package from Arie, who writes her blog Catch The Beauty With Arie - you probably all know her but if you don't, you should check it out. She sent me this gorgeous package with Zoya polishes, hand cream and yummy goodies, what can I ask more ? J

We decided to do a swap but this time, since she had to make an order from Zoya, I gave her the names of the polishes I wanted, so the colors weren't a surprise, but still, when I got them I was surprised ! They are so stunning !!! Arie did such a great job with this package and I'm so happy and thankful for the opportunity she gave me, to expend my Zoya collection !

I didn't make it to the swatching during the holiday, but I tried them all on the nail Wheel so you can get a first impression J

Zoya Suvi and my broken nails

את Suvi של זויה קיבלתי מקיטי בחבילה האחרונה שהיא שלחה לי לפני כמה חודשים. איך שראיתי אותו, מיד התאהבתי בו וזה היה הירוק הראשון שאהבתי. שמתי אותו כבר כמה פעמים ובכל פעם כשרציתי לעשות סווטץ' שלו, קרה משהו שבגללו החלטתי לוותר.

וגם הפעם, בדיוק כשרציתי לשים אותו ולצלם לכן תמונות שלו, נשברה לי ציפורן אחת עד הבסיס ועוד ציפורן נסדקה קשות. אבל הפעם, החלטתי לא לוותר ולהראות לכן אותו בכל מקרה, אז למרות שאני חושבת שהיה מגיע לו סווטץ' יפה יותר, קבלו את סובי !

Suvi הוא ירוק שימרי די כהה. המריחה שלו היתה נוחה וכדי להגיע למראה שבבקבוק היה צורך בשלוש שכבות (בשכבה הראשונה הוא יצא חצי שקוף).

לצערי הרב, אחרי שהורדתי אותו, נאלצתי לקצר גם את הציפורן השניה שנסדקה כי היא נתקעה לי בסיבים של הסוודר והסדק גדל ממש (למי שזה קרה לי, בטח יודעת למה אני מתכוונת) ומכיוון שלא יכולתי להישאר עם שתי ציפורניים קצרות ושתיים ארוכות, נאלצתי לקצר את כל הציפורניים ועכשיו אני מתחילה לגדל אותן מחדש L.......אני מתנחמת בזה שהזמנתי 2 לקים טיפוליים מסדרת ה – Nail Envy של OPI שיעזרו לי לשקם אותן בצורה טובה יותר, למרות שנראה שבקצב הזה הם יגיעו רק בעוד כמה שבועות......

Zoya - Suvi

I received Zoya Suvi from Kitty, in our last swap a couple of months ago. In the moment I saw it, I fell in love with it and that was my first beloved green polish. I already used it several times and each time I wanted to make its swatch, something happened and I gave up.

And this time also, exactly when I planned to apply it and take some pictures of it, I broke one of my nails to the base and another nail was severely damaged. But this time, I decided not to give up and show it to you anyway, so although I think it deserves a better swatch, please welcome Suvi !

Suvi is a pretty dark shimmering green. Its application was good and I needed 3 coats to get the look that in the bottle (in one coats it's sheer).

Unfortunately, after I removed it, I had to shorten also my other cracked nail, because it had stuck in my sweater's fibers and the crack got bigger (if it happened to you, you know what I'm talking about) and since I couldn't have 2 short nails and 2 long ones, I had to shorten all of my nail and now I start growing them back L……I'm comforting in the fact that I ordered 2 OPI Nail Envy treatments which will help me to grow them in healthier way, although it looks like I'm going to get them just in a couple of weeks…..

This was my first nail polish exchange (or should I say swap ? what is the right word ? ) and I'm very very excited about this ! I was waiting for her package to arrive and what a big surprise I had when I got it !

Kitty sent me awesome polishes, from different brands, that some of them are very hard to get here or even impossible (even through the web), and each one of them is prettier from the other – she picked up such a stunning colors. I swear I didn't expect to such a great package ! This is so fun !!

She also added some chocolates, and as you can see, they survived just the first pic…yummy….lol

I just LOVE these polishes, they are all gorgeous, and I'm so happy and excited about this ! I took pictures of them, so you can see why I'm so excited and I'll do their swatches later on.

Kitty – thank you SO much for the opportunity to this wonderful exchange – I just love everything, it was a pleasure and I enjoyed every moment !!!
