Flowers in a strawberry field

השבוע התחשק לי להשתמש בפרחים לקישוט שיש לי – יש לי הרבה קופסאות קטנות כאלה עם פרחים צבעוניים לקישוט והם פשוט מקסימים אבל כמעט ולא יוצא לי להשתמש בהם. אני חושבת שהסיבה המרכזית היא שהם די גדולים אז אני צריכה להשתמש בהן רק כשהציפורניים שלי ארוכות מספיק.

אני ממש אוהבת את הפרחים האלו ותמיד כיף לי לראות את הקופסאות הצבעוניות הקטנות האלו – עדיין לא פיענחתי ממה הם עשויים, זה נראה לי סוג של בד מצופה בציפוי פלסטיק שקוף, אבל אם מישהי יודעת, אני אשמח לשמוע J הם באים בצבעים ממש יפים והם מבריקים מאוד, חלק מהצבעים הם דואוכרום, כלומר, מחליפים צבעים. הם קלים מאוד לשימוש, כמו אבנים, מדביקים אותם עם דבק מיוחד לזה או בעזרת לק שקוף.

עדיין לא מצאתי את העיצוב המושלם בשבילם, אבל בינתיים בחרתי לעשות איתם עיצוב נוסף שייכנס לקולקציית קישוטי הציפורניים שלי, אחד כזה לא שגרתי, פרוע, צבעוני ומשעשע ושיאפשר לי להשתמש בכל הצבעים כמעט, כי זה מה שהתחשק לי J

בתור בסיס השתמשתי בלק מס' 238 של שיק – אדום-ורוד עם נטיה לכיוון הפוקסיה במרקם קרמי – צבע מקסים, המריחה שלו נוחה מאוד והוא אטום כבר בשכבה ראשונה - אני שמתי 2 שכבות למראה אחיד. זמן הייבוש שלו סביר, לא מהמהירים שפגשתי, אבל עם מייבש זה לא מהווה בעיה. במציאות הוא יותר כהה מאשר בתמונות, אבל כרגיל, יש צבעים שהמצלמה פשוט לא מוכנה לתפוס במדוייק...

קראתי לעיצוב הזה "פרחים בשדה תותים" כי בראש עברו לי תמונות של נשים מלקטות פרחים ותותים בסלסלת קש (עם כובע כזה על הראש, אתן יודעות...חחחח) ואפילו ניסיתי לצלם את הלק עם טיפות מים שייראה "טרי" כמו שדה עם אגלי טל.....אבל זה לא ממש יצא, אז תיאלצו לדמיין ממש חזק.....:-)

צילמתי לכן גם את הקופסאות עם הפרחים שהשתמשתי בהן לעיצוב הזה, כדי שתראו איך זה מגיע.

Flowers In A Strawberry Field

This week I felt like using my decorating flowers – I have many tiny boxes with colorful flowers for decoration and they are just lovely, is just that I barely use them. I think the main reason is because they're pretty large so I need to use them only when my nails are long enough.

I really love these flowers and I always having so fun looking at these little colorful boxes – I still haven't figure what they are made from, it seems to me like kind of a fabric covered with plastic, but if any of you know what they are made from, I would love to hear J

They come in beautiful colors and they are very shiny, some of them are duochromes. They are very easy to use, like rhinestones, you use special glue or a clear nail polish.

I still haven't found the perfect design for them, but meanwhile, I chose to do another design with them, that will go right to my nail art collection, something unusual, colorful and funny, which will allow me to use many of the colors, because that was what I felt like J

I used Chic No. 238 as a base – a creme pinkish red – this is a charming color, its application is great and it is opaque already after one coat – I used 2 coats.

Its drying time is reasonable, not one of the fastest, but with a fast drying top coat it isn't a problem at all. It is darker in reality than it seemed in the picture, but you know how it is with certain colors, the camera just can't capture it…..

I named this design "flowers in a strawberry field" because I had pictures in my head of women collecting flowers and strawberries in a straw basket (with this hat on their heads, you know…lol) and I even tried to take the pictures with water drops on it, so it would look "fresh", like dew droplets…..but it didn't turned to be like I expected, so you would just have to imagine it really hard…J

I also took a picture of the flowers boxes I used for this design, so you can see how cute they are.

USA Stories - Chapter 3

אני מקווה שאתן מוכנות לפרק השלישי בעלילות תולי בארה"ב כי.......הנה זה בא J

בפרק הזה אני אספר לכן על הדרך שעשינו מסן פרנסיסקו, לאורך כביש 1 ועד לעיירה כרמל.

כן, היום אנחנו עוזבים את סן פרנסיסקו ומתחילים לנסוע לאורך כביש 1. כביש 1 הוא כביש שעובר לאורך החוף וחלק נכבד ממנו עובר צמוד לאוקיינוס, כך שהנסיעה בו מלווה בנופים מדהימים של צוקים ומים, מפרצונים וגלים והמון המון נקודות עצירה.

לאורך כל הדרך, ממש כל כמה דקות, יש נקודת תצפית שבה אפשר לעצור עם הרכב (מזהים אותן כבר מרחוק לפי הרכבים שעוצרים בצדי הדרך) ולהתפעל מהנוף המדהים שנשקף משם. חלקים מהכביש קרובים יותר לגובה פני הים ובחלקים אחרים אתה מוצא את עצמך על צוק גבוה צופה לאוקיינוס.

אנחנו מצאנו את כביש 1 ככביש מהנה מאוד לנסיעה. כל כמה זמן עצרנו בצד הדרך וצילמנו. בחלק מהעצירות אפשר לראות גם עופות מים ואפילו כלבי ים רובצים להם על סלעים בקרבת החוף. מכיוון שבחלק גדול מהדרך ערפל הפריע לנו לראות את הנוף, שמחנו מאוד בכל נקודה שבה היתה תצפית טובה, כי הנופים באמת מדהימים.

In this chapter I'll tell you about our way from San Francisco to Carmel, thru Route 1.

Yes, today we're leaving SF and had to Route 1. Route 1 runs along the Pacific Coast and in many parts of it you can see the ocean, so the drive is full of amazing views of cliffs and water, coves and waves and plenty of view points.

along all the way, you can see "Vista Points" and you can park your car and watch the gorgeous views from there. Parts of the road are closer to the ocean and in other parts you find yourself on a high cliff, watching the ocean below.

We found Route 1 very pleasurable to drive. Every once in a while, we parked our car on the side of the road and took pictures. In some of the points, you can also see waterfowl and even seals, lies on rocks near the shore. Since in many parts of the way, there was a fog that made it hard on us to see the views, we were very happy in each point that we had a clear view, because the views are really amazing.

העצירה הראשונה שלנו (מלבד עצירה לקפה ומאפין J ) היתה בעיירה שנקראת מונטריי.

במונטריי הסתובבנו בטיילת מקסימה ליד הים, אבל את רוב הזמן שם העברנו במה שנקרא "האקווריום של מונטריי". האקווריום הוא בעצם מין מוזיאון גדול, בין הגדולים בעולם, שבו אפשר למצוא הרבה אקווריומים עם סוגים שונים של דגים ויצורים ימיים, כולל כרישים, מדוזות זרחניות וגם בריכות מים קטנות שבהן אפשר לגעת בכוכבי ים, מלפפוני ים ועוד יצורים ימיים אחרים. המקום מעוצב בצורה מדהימה ומאוד נוחה והוא ממש סוחף אותך אל תוך עולם המים הקסום. אני ממש נהניתי גם מלשבת על הספסלים ליד האקווריום הענק של הכרישים ולבהות (כמה כבר אפשר ללכת ? חחחח) והבעל ממש נהנה ללכת ולצלם כל אקווריום קטן, אז התמונות באדיבותו J

Our first stop (beside one stop for coffee and muffinJ) was in the town of Monterey.

We hanged out a while in Monterey's promenade, which is located right near the ocean, but we spent most of the time there in what's called "Monterey Bay Aquarium". The Aquarium is kind of a large museum, one of the biggest in the world I think, and it offers lots of exhibits with different kinds of fish and sealife, including sharks, sea otter, jellyfish and even splash zones with little pools, where you can touch starfish, holothuroidea and other creatures.

The whole place is designed in a gorgeous and very comfortable way and it really sweeps you into the magical world of the ocean. I also enjoyed sitting on the bench near the shark's huge tank and stare at it (how much can you walk ? lol) and my hubby really enjoyed taking pictures of all the tanks, even the smallest ones, so these pictures are under the auspices of my husband J

ממונטריי המשכנו לעיירה כרמל.

מונטריי וכרמל מאוד קרובות וביניהן מחבר כביש שנקרא "כביש 17 המייל", שהכניסה אליו היא בתשלום. הנסיעה בכביש עוברת דרך מגרשי גולף ובתים מפוארים של עשירי האזור ומספקת נופים לאוקיינוס ונקודות תצפית מקסימות. בנוסף, גם שם אפשר לראות בקרבת החוף סלעים ועליהם עופות מים, כלבי ים ואריות ים (וסליחה מראש אם אני מתבלבלת, אבל עדיין לא התלחתי להבין איך אמורים להבדיל ביניהם מכזה מרחק J). גם כאן, הנסיעה היתה מהנה מאוד והיה כיף לעצור בנקודות התצפית, לבהות באוקיינוס ובחיות וכמובן – לצלם J

From Monterey we drove towards the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Monterey and Carmel are very close to one another and between them there's a road called "The 17 miles drive". This is a scenic road that runs along Golf courses, beaches and luxurious houses (this is a private area so you have to pay to enter this road) and provides some great view points. You can also see here rocks near the shores and waterfowl, seals and sea lions on them (sorry if I confuse you, but I still haven't learned how I am supposed to tell the difference between them from that distanceJ). Here too, we enjoyed driving this road, stop at some view points, stare at the ocean and of course – take pictures :-)

אחרי שסיימנו את הכביש הזה בעצם, הגענו לעיירה כרמל, שזו עיירה ציורית ומקסימה. היה נראה שם די שומם בערב, אז העברנו אותו עם פיצה משפחתית וסרט בחדר מקסים J

When we ended this road, we reached to Carmel, which is a beautiful and picturesque town. It seemed to be pretty boring there in the evening, so we spent the evening in our beautiful room with pizza and a movie :-)

I took the flower's pictures in our B&B and I want to dedicate them to Mary from

Body and Soul, because she always takes pictures of her wonderful flowers and makes me smile, so……Mary – these flowers are for you my dear !

I have to say that it was a bit harder for me to write all this in English, than my usual posts, so sorry in advance for any mistakes….
