Few years ago, when we moved to live together, we decided – my dear husband and I, that birthdays are just once in a year and one day isn't enough, and that's why we started the "Birthday Week" tradition in our home J
And last week we celebrated my Birthday Week !
It started last week with a family dinner on Friday's night at my parents' house, with a lovely present that I've wanted for a long time – a 5,000 pcs puzzle. Yes, I always loved puzzles and the last puzzle I made was also of 5,000 pcs and that was more than 10 years ago, when I was still living at my parents' house. Ever since, I never found the time or the place for a new puzzle, because beside of the time issue, it's a project that takes a lot of place (the new one I got is 101 x 153 cm) and this year, I decided that it's time for a new puzzle.
On Saturday's night, while I was comfortably lying on the couch and waiting for guests to come, my husband suddenly announced that we have to go and that I need to get dressed. I was all like "what are you talking about ? We have guests tonight !" And he told me that no guests are really supposed to come, because they know about the surprise. So I went to get ready. I was trying to milk some information by asking questions like "should I get dressed worm ?" "Should I put something nice ?" "Do I need my snickers ?" etc. etc. but nothing….he's like a robot, I'm telling you….lol
So after a weird drive and a short break for coffee and cigarette (what am I doing in the middle of the highway on Saturday's night ? ) I saw the sign to the Safari and then I already knew because I wanted to do this for a while – he saved us places to the Midnight Safari J
This trip is 2 hours long, from 11 pm-1am and you go by an open train, with stories and explanations about the safari. All the animals are awake and hanging around there in the night so we saw (from very close) rhinoceroses, hippopotamus, giraffes, deer, elephants etc and we had lots of fun. It was surely an unexpected and unusual night J
On Monday I had my Birthday and we had some ideas about what to do in the evening, but eventually, a short visit to the mall ended in a very productive shopping tour with great company that lasted until the evening and when I came back home in the evening I was so exhausted that I couldn't move my feet from the couch J
Eventually we had a fun evening with my dear sister and my husband surprised me with this present – I had to take some pictures of it to show you and when I say surprised me, I really mean that, because this is not the kind of presents I use to get and this year it was really a challenge for him because I already bought everything I wanted and I was very surprised that he found a way to surprise me…..lol
These are towels which are organized like cakes on a tray – there is a large mousse cake, jelly roll and personal mousses and everything is made of towels in different sizes – what can I say, he even managed to make it practical J
On Friday, we ended the week in another family dinner, this time for my sister's husband birthday and in a great party with tons of food, balloons and even karaoky !
And now – back to normal……until next year !!!
כבר לפני כמה שנים, כשעברנו לגור ביחד, החלטנו – בעלי היקר ואני, שיום הולדת יש רק פעם בשנה ויום אחד לא מספיק, ולכן נקיים בביתנו "שבוע יומולדת" J
והנה – הגיע שבוע היומולדת שלי !
הוא נפתח בארוחה חגיגית אצל ההורים שלי ביום שישי שעבר, עם מתנה מקסימה מהם שרציתי כבר המוןןןןןןןן זמן – פאזל של 5,000 חלקים. כן, מאז ומתמיד אהבתי פאזלים והפאזל האחרון שהרכבתי היה גם של 5,000 חלקים וזה היה לפני יותר מעשר שנים, כשעוד גרתי אצל ההורים. מאז, כל הזמן דחיתי את הפאזל הבא, כי זה בכל זאת פרוייקט שתופס הרבה מקום במשך המון זמן (החדש שקיבלתי הוא 101 x153 ס"מ) והשנה החלטתי שהגיע הזמן להתחיל פאזל חדש !
למחרת, ביום שבת בערב, בעודי רובצת לי בנחת על הספה ומחכה לאורחים, הודיע לי בעלי היקר שאני צריכה להתלבש כי אנחנו צריכים לצאת. ממרבצי הזדעקתי "מה הולכים ? באים אורחים !" והוא בישר לי ששום אורחים לא מתכוונים באמת להגיע, כי הם יודעים שהוא עושה לי הפתעה.
אז התלבשתי. ניסיתי לחלוב מידע כמו " להתלבש חם או קר ? " "להתלבש יפה ? " "צריך נעלי התעמלות ?" "להתאפר יפה ?" וכו' וכו' אבל מה שיש לי בבית זה רובוטריק שב"כניק, אז שום מידע לא דלף. אוף......דווקא היה לי תכניות ממש טובות לערב......חחחחח
אחרי נסיעה הזויה באיזה עשר בערב, עם עצירה לקפה וסיגריה הזויה עוד יותר (מה אני עושה בכביש ראשי ביום שבת בערב ?) ראיתי את השלט הפונה לרמת גן ואז כבר ידעתי, כי מזמן רציתי לעשות את זה – הוא הזמין לנו מקומות לספארי חצות J
הסיור הזה אורך שעתיים והנסיעה היא ברכבת הפתוחה של הרכבת, מלווה בהסברים וסיפורים והמון חיות שמסתובבות להן חופשי בלילה אז ראינו קרנפים, היפופוטמים, ג'ירפות, צבאים, פילים וכו' ונהנינו מאוירה קסומה ומיוחדת. היה ממש כיף וזה בהחלט היה לילה לא שגרתי !
ביום שני היה היומולדת שלי ובגדול היו לנו כל מיני רעיונות לערב, אבל בסופו של דבר, ביקור קצר שתכננתי לקניון נגמר באחה"צ שלם של שופינג פרודוקטיבי במיוחד עם חברה כיפית במיוחד גם כן וכך יצא שחזרתי רק בערב הביתה, מותשת עד כלות ובלי יכולת להזיז את הרגליים שלי מהספה J
בסופו של דבר העברנו ערב כיפי עם אחותי היקרה ובעלי הפתיע אותי עם המתנה הזאת – הייתי חייבת לצלם לכן אותה וכשאני אומרת הפתיע, אני באמת מתכוונת לזה, כי זה ממש לא מסוג המתנות שאני רגילה לקבל ומאחר והשנה העמדתי באתגר קשה במיוחד, ממש הופתעתי שהוא הצליח למצוא דרך להפתיע אותי....חחחחח
אלו מגבות שמגיעות בצורה של עוגות ומסודרות בצורה מקסימה על מגש – אז יש עוגה גדולה ורולדה וקציפות והכל ממגבות בכל מיני גדלים – מה אני אגיד, הוא אפילו הצליח לעשות את זה שימושי J
ביום שישי סיימנו את השבוע בארוחה משפחתית נוספת, הפעם לכבוד יום ההולדת של בעלה המקסים של אחותי ובמסיבה כיפית ביותר עם המון כיבוד, בלונים ואפילו קריוקי !
והיום – חזרה לשגרה.........עד השנה הבאה !!!
