Look how cute it is !

אחרי שבוע של נצנצים נועזים, התחשק לי משהו רגוע יותר....... מכיוון שגם הבטחתי לכן לעשות כמה שיותר סווטצ'ים מהלקים החדשים, התלבטתי בין כמה לקים של Essie מהקולקציות האחרונות שקניתי בארה"ב ועדיין לא היתה לי הזדמנות לנסות.

בסופו של דבר, החלטתי לבחור ב- Cute as a button מקולקציית קיץ 2009 של Essie – הוא מעין ורוד קורלי והשם שלו אכן מתאין לו – הוא אכן מאוד חמוד J

הוא נמרח בקלות וזמן הייבוש שלו סביר – אהבתי במיוחד את הגימור הקרמי המבריק שלו. בתמונות אתן רואות 3 שכבות ומעליהן שכבת מייבש. האמת שהוא היה נראה טוב גם אחרי 2 שכבות, אבל שמתי עוד שכבה כדי לוודא שהוא ייראה אחיד (בכל זאת צריך לצלם מקרוב....:-)).

כשהוא התייבש, הוספתי לו דוגמא מאחת הפלטות (מס' B61) שקניתי ב"וואו" ורציתי לנסות כבר מאז – אני ממש מרוצה מדוגמת הפרח הזאת, היא יצאה ממש מדויקת ! בנוסף, אני לא יודעת אם אתן רואות את זה בתמונה, אבל הפרח הזה ממש דרש ממני להוסיף לו בלינג קטן במרכז, אז ככה יצא שגם חנכתי את קופסת הבלינגים החדשה שלי.

Essie - Cute As a Button

After a week of bold glitters, I wanted something more calm……since I've also promised you to do swatches of my new polishes, I wanted to choose one of the new Essie's polishes I bought there and haven't had the chance to try yet, but I didn't know which one to choose.

Eventually, I chose Cute as a Button from Essie Summer collection 2009 – this one is kind of a coral pink and its name really fits – it is indeed really cute J

The application here is easy and the drying time is reasonable – I especially love its glossy crème finish. In the pictures you see 3 coats and one coat of topcoat. It looks good even after 2 coats, but I applied one more coat just to make sure it'll look opaque for the pictures….:-)

When it was dry, I added an image from one of the plates I bought at "wow" (B61) and I wanted to try – I am really pleased from this flower image, it turned out very accurate ! In addition, I don't know if you can see it in the pictures, I added a little bling to this flower from my new bling bling box.

Festival of Lights

קודם כל וטיפה באיחור, אני רוצה לאחל לכולכן

חג חנוכה שמח !!!

שיהיה לכולכן חג אורים מואר וטעים ושיקרו המון ניסים !

אני חייבת להודות שהיום היה לי לק אחר על הכוונת ורציתי לעשות קצת הפסקה מנצנצים, אבל כשפתחתי את מגירת הלקים, הלק הזה פשוט קרא לי ולא יכולתי להתעלם ממנו. התכנון המקורי היה לעשות מניקור מיוחד לחנוכה, אבל כשראיתי את הלק הזה, חשבתי שאין יותר מתאים ממנו לחג האורים ! הוא כ"כ מנצנצץ ויש בו כ"כ הרבה צבעים, שהוא נראה כמו מיליון נרות דולקים J

אז אמנם הציפורניים שלי ממש לא יאהבו אותי כשאני אצטרך להוריד אותו, אבל אני מקווה שאתן תאהבו אותו ושתחשבו כמוני שהוא פשוט הלק המושלם לחג הזה J

גם הלק הזה שייך לסדרת הנצנצים של צ'יינה גלייז והוא נקרא Medallion - הבסיס שלו הוא בעצם שקוף ויש בו המון נצנצים זהובים קטנטנים, כמו אבקת זהב ששפכו ללק, והמון נצנצים צבעוניים גדולים יותר. אתן בטח כבר מכירות אותי ויודעות שבדר"כ אני לא ממש חובבת לקים בצבע זהב וזאת גם הסיבה שכמעט ולא קניתי אותו בכלל, אבל הוא היה נראה לי קצת שונה והחלטתי לתת לו צ'אנס. היום ניסיתי אותו בפעם הראשונה והבנתי מה אני אוהבת בו - הגוון הזהוב שלו, עם כל הנצנצים, נותן מעין מראה של זהב מרוקע, שאני הרבה יותר מתחברת אליו מזהב רגיל ובנוסף, הנצנצים הצבעוניים נותנים לו מראה מאוד מיוחד. עדיין, אני חייבת להודות, יהיה לי קשה ללכת עם צבע כזה עליי ביום יום (למרות שהחלטתי לנסות להשאיר אותו עליי) אבל הוא יכול להיות ממש מגניב ליציאה בערב כי הוא מהמם בלילה J

גם כאן המריחה היא קלה, אבל יש את עניין השכבות – אם משתמשים בו בתור טופ, מספיקה שכבה אחת והוא מקסים, אבל אם רוצים להגיע למראה אטום כמו בתמונה, צריך את הארבע שכבות – זה מתייבש מאוד מהר, אז אין צורך לחכות כמעט בין השכבות והמראה המיוחד לגמרי שווה את ההשקעה !

ועוד בענייני חנוכה – תראו מה היה לנו כאן אתמול בערב ! קנינו סופגניות והכנו לביבות מתפוחי אדמה וקישואים – היה טעיםםםםםםםםםםםםםם

בתכנון עוד כמה דברים להכין לחנוכה, אז במידה ויהיה לי כוח להזיז את עצמי למטבח וממש להכין אותם, אני אצלם לכן עוד J

China Glaze Medallion

This is Medallion – another one from China Glaze glitter series. I have to admit that I was planning to show you something else today, that is not glitter, but when I opened my polishes drawer this one was calling my name….

We're celebrating Hanukkah here these days which is an 8 days holiday and it also known as Festival of Lights, and I was thinking that this polish is the perfect polish for this lights holiday because it looks like million colorful lights J

It has kind of a clear base, with tons of tiny gold glitter inside, like gold dust powder and tons of bigger colorful glitter. You probably know me already and know that I'm not a fan of golds and that was the reason why I almost didn't buy this one, but it seemed unique and I decided to give it a chance. I applied it first time today and I realized what I love in this one – its gold shade, with all the glitter, looks kind of a beaten gold (I hope that's how you say it) which is much more to my taste than a regular gold and its colorful glitter make it very unique. Still, I have to admit that it's hard for me to say that this is an everyday color (although I decided to leave it on my nails) but it can be really cool for going out in the evening because it would look stunning at night J

Like the others I've tried from this series, the application is easy, but there is the coats issue – if you want to use it as a top coat, one coat would be good, but if you want to get an opaque look like in the pictures, you need 4 coats – it dries pretty fast so you almost don't need to wait between one coat to another and its definitely worth the work !

And more from Hanukkah, look what we had here yesterday's evening ! We have some traditional food in Hanukkah (one of the holidays with the best food to my opinion) – there is kind of potato pancakes known as "Levivot", they are basically made from scraped potato and eggs, but I added zucchini too and it was yummy. There are many kinds of "Levivot" - The traditional ones with only potato and eggs, fried ones, baked ones, with vegetables, with cheese, sweet ones, with fruits etc. etc.

Another food in this holiday is the "Sufganiya", which is kind of a jam-filled doughnut. The jam (usually strawberry) is the traditional filling, and you can find also doughnuts filled with chocolate and other fillings.

I bought the doughnuts but I made the Levivot myself – everything was yummmyyyyy

I'm planning to cook some more this holiday, so if I'll have the energy to move myself into the kitchen and cook, I'll take some more pictures for you J

מוכנות לעוד נצנצים ???

לקוראת שלי Kaur שביקשה עוד נצנצים – זה בשבילך J

Atlantis הוא לק נוסף מסדרת הנצנצים של צ'יינה גלייז והוא היה הראשון בסדרה ששמתי עליו עין.

הבסיס שלו הוא בצבע טורקיז במרקם ג'לי ויש בו המוןןןןןןןןן נצנצים כחולים, ירוקים, כסופים ועוד צבעים שביחד יוצרים מראה מדהים ונוצץ – קשה לי להסביר את זה, אבל הלק אמנם עמוס בנצנצים, אבל הוא לא נראה מאוד מבריק, כמו בלקים נצנצים אחרים שניסיתי. זה בהחלט אחד הלקים הכי מיוחדים שיצא לי לנסות !

המריחה שלו מאוד נוחה וזמן הייבוש שלו די מהיר. בשכבה ראשונה וגם שניה, הוא חצי שקוף וצריך את השכבה השלישית כדי להביא למראה אטום יחסית. אני שמתי 4 שכבות דקות כדי להגיע למראה שאתן רואות בתמונות – זה לא לקח הרבה זמן כי בזמן ששמתי שכבה על היד השניה, היד הראשונה כבר התייבשה, אז יכולתי לעשות את זה רצוף ומכיוון שעשיתי את השכבות ממש דקות, לא נוצר מראה עבה.

מעל הכל השתמשתי במייבש של Poshe והמראה שהתקבל היה פשוט מ-ושלם !

סיכום שלי ללק הזה – סוף הסופים ! J

החיסרון היחיד היתה הציפורן האמצעית שנשברה לי.......:-(

China Glaze Atlantis

Are you ready for some more glitter ?

Atlantis is another one from China Glaze glitter series and it was the first one in this series that I laid my eyes on…

This is a turquoise jelly base with tonssssssss of glitter in blue, green, silver and more colors, which creates together an amazing glitter look - it's hard for me to explain this, but this polish is indeed loaded with glitter, but it doesn't seem very shiny or sparkly, like other glitter polishes I tried. This one is definitely one of the unique polishes I ever tried !

Its application is very easy and it dries pretty fast. In the first coat, and also the second, it's pretty sheer and you need the third coat to get an opaque look. I applied 4 coats in order to get the look you see in the pictures – it didn't take much time, because at the time I applied a coat in one hand, the other hand already got dried, so I could apply all the coats consecutively and since I applied really thin coats, it didn't seem thick.

I applied a coat of Poshe top coat over it and the look that I got was per-fect !

The only disadvantage was my broken middle finger…….:-(

אופס..............נראה לי שקניתי קצת יותר מדי..........

זה מה שחשבתי כשהוצאתי את כל הלקים מהמזוודות והתחלתי לסדר אותם כאן J

אבל.........

נראה לי שאני אצליח להסתדר עם זה, לא ?

מגירות אחסון חדשות כבר יש ועכשיו מה שנשאר זה רק להשתמש בכל הלקים האלו ולעשות מלא סווטצ'ים J

לכל קבוצת לקים כאן יש סיפור מאחוריה ונראה לי מיותר לכתוב את כל הסיפורים, אבל בגדול ליקטתי את הלקים מכל מקום שהייתי בו בארה"ב כולל שתי הזמנות שעשיתי עוד מהארץ לבן דוד היקר שלי שמתגורר שם והסכים לאסוף את החבילות בשבילי (והיה סופר קשה לבחור איזו הזמנה לעשות) וניווטים לחנויות שהוצאתי את הכתובות שלהן מראש מהארץ.

הלכתי לכל החנויות שהומלצו לי על ידי חברותיי הבלוגריות מארה"ב – Walgreens, ULTA, CVS, Sally Beauty, Sephora, Trade Secret, Hot Topic, Duane Reade, Claire's ועוד..........

ובכל חנות שמצאתי קניתי כמה לקים, למעט שתי חנויות שעשיתי בהן רכישות קצת יותר גדולות – ב- ULTA עשיתי רכישה גדולה של הרבה לקים ובין היתר קניתי שם את כל הקולקציות החדשות של Essie וב- Trade Secret רכשתי כמעט את כל הלקים של OPI במרוכז.

לקוראת המקסימה שלי – שיר – לא שכחתי שביקשת לדעת את המחירים (וגם לכל מי שזה מעניין אותו עוד), אז הנה הם בגדול – OPI ו- Essie – 8-8.5$ (OPI DS עולים קצת יותר, בערך 12$), China Glaze עולים שם בערך 5$, סאלי הנסן מאוד תלוי איזה, יש ב- 3$ ויש ב- 6$, סינפול עולים 2$, רבלון בסביבות 4-5$ וכו' – אם יש עוד חברה שלא רשמתי ומישהי רוצה לדעת, תרגישו חופשי לשאול.

בכל פעם שעשיתי קנייה של לקים, כשחזרנו לחדר עטפתי אותם בעיתונים וסידרתי אותם במקום בטוח במזוודה. כשהיינו בניו יורק וסידרנו את המזוודות לפני הטיסה, ראיתי שיש לי ממש הרבה עיתונים במזוודות...חחחחח.....אבל רק כשהגעתי הביתה ופרקתי את הכל, יצא לי לראות את כולם במרוכז – זה היה כל כך כיף !!! כל לק מעורר בי זכרונות של מקום אחר שהיינו בו......ואחחחחח.......איזה זכרונות....

ועכשיו, כשסידרתי את כולם על המיטה כדי לצלם לכן, הרגשתי.......וואווווו !!!

כמו שאתן יכולות לראות, סידרתי בצד גם מוצרים נלווים שקניתי לציפורניים, מלבד הלקים, ואני אספר לכן על חלק מהם בנפרד בהמשך. בינתיים, אני שמחה להציג בפניכן את כל הלקים החדשים שלי מארה"ב - היכונו לסווטצ'ים :

That's what I thought when I took out all the polishes from my suitcases and started to organize them here J

But…..

I think I can handle this, don't you think ?

I already bought new storage drawers and all I have to do now is to use all these polishes and do tons of swatches J

Every group of polishes here has its own story but it seems unnecessary to me to write all the stories now. I'll do write that I collected these polishes from all the places I've been to in the states, including 2 orders I made from here that were shipped to my dear cousin who lives there and was kind enough to pick them for me and navigations to stores which their addresses I wrote down from here.

I went to all the stores that were recommended to me by my dear bloggers friends from the USA - Walgreens, ULTA, CVS, Sally Beauty, Sephora, Trade Secret, Hot Topic, Duane Reade, Claire's etc. etc. – Thank you so much for all of your help ! I never would have search for some of those stores without you !

I bought a few polishes in every store and made 2 big purchases in 2 of the stores – the first was Trade Secret, where I bought almost all the OPI polishes, and the second was ULTA, where I bought most of the Essie polishes and more brands.

After every time I purchased nail polishes, when we got back to the room, I wrapped the polishes in newspapers and put them in a safe place in the suitcase. When we were in NY, we arranged our suitcases for the flight and I saw that I have many newspapers in my suitcases….lol…. but just after I came home and unpacked the suitcases, I got to see them all together – that was so fun !!! Every polish reminds me of another place we've been to during the trip……

And now, when I laid them all on my bed to take the pictures for you, I felt……wow !

As you can see, I also laid on the side additional nail products that I bought, beside the polishes, and I'll write you about them in another post. In the meantime, here are my new polishes from the USA - prepare yourself for swatches J

תראו איזו הפתעה היתה לי השבוע !

הלכתי לדואר כדי לבדוק אם קיבלתי את החבילה מהסנטה שלי (עדיין לא) ואם הגיעו חבילות נוספות לפרוייקט איסוף התרומות של מוצרי הטיפוח למען מקלט הנשים (למי שלא מעודכנת, אפשר למצוא את כל הפרטים בפוסט הזה, האיסוף עדיין נמשך למי שמעוניינת לתרום) ומצאתי שם פתק לדואר רשום שהגיע אליי מהונג קונג.

הייתי בטוחה שזאת ההזמנה מאיביי שהזמנתי (שגם לא הגיעה) והופתעתי כשהפקידה בדואר מסרה לי חבילה קטנה בגודל של קוביה (כבר רציתי להרוג את המוכר מאיביי) – הייתי כ"כ משוכנעת שזאת ההזמנה שלי מאיביי (כי מה כבר יכול להגיע אליי מהונג קונג?) שאפילו לא הסתכלתי על השולח של החבילה.....

כשפתחתי את החבילה מצאתי ברכה קטנה וכשקראתי אותה הבנתי שהיא מ – Joyce, הבחורה ששלחתי לה את החבילה במסגרת פרוייקט החלפת המתנות של הבלוגריות. כששלחתי את החבילה, לא ידעתי מי הבחורה שהוגרלה לי וגם לא הכרתי את הבלוג שלה. חודש אחרי ששלחתי את החבילה, הגיע אליי מייל ממנה שבו היא הודתה לי על הדברים ששלחתי לה וסיפרה לי שהיא אהבה אותם מאוד וגם נתנה לי את הקישור לבלוג שלה –http://muiguiltypleasure.blogspot.com/

שלחתי לה מייל בחזרה ולא ציפיתי שיום למחרת אני אגלה בדואר חבילה ממנה ! כשפתחתי את החבילה גיליתי 5 לקים חמודים ומקסימים של Golden Rose – אף פעם לא שמעתי על החברה הזאת וכמו שאתן יודעות, אני תמיד אוהבת לנסות דברים חדשים J

Joyce בחרה לי 5 לקים מקסימים, שניים מתוכם הם נצנצים מהממים – אחד עם נצנצים כסופים בצורת עיגולים קטנים וכוכבים והשני עם נצנצים קטנים ורודים וקונפטי כסופים בתוכם – ממש כלבבי J

צילמתי לכם את הלקים ועשיתי סווטץ' אחד של כולם כדי שתוכלו לראות את הצבעים – כולם נמרחים מצוין ונוחים מאוד לשימוש.

Look what a surprise I had this week !

I went to the post office to see if I got any package from my Santa (I still didn't) or if more packages arrived for my beauty products donations project for the women's shelter (if you're not updated, you can find all the details in this post, I'm still collecting the donations if you want to donate) and I found there a note letting me know that there's a package from Hong Kong waiting for me.

I was sure I got my order from eBay (which I didn't get also) and I was surprised when the lady in the post office gave me a small package in a size of a cube (I was already ready to strangle the seller) - I was so sure that this is my eBay's order (what else can I get from Hong Kong ?) that I didn't even take a look at the sender's name….

When I opened the package, I found a little card and when I read it, I realized this package was from Joyce, the girl I was her secret Santa…., when I sent the package, I didn't know who she was and wasn't familiar with her blog. A month after I sent my package, I got an e-mail from her, in which she thanked me for my package and also gave me a link to her blog - http://muiguiltypleasure.blogspot.com/

I replied her e-mail and wasn't expected at all that in the day after I'll find a package from her in the mail !

When I opened the package I found 5 cute and charming polishes by Golden Rose – I've never heard about this brand but as you know me, I always love to try new things J

Joyce has picked me great colors, including 2 awesome glitters – one with silver glitter in shape of stars and little round glitter and the other with lots of tiny pink glitter with silver confetti inside – they are so cute !

I took a picture of the polishes and also did a swatch with all of them so you can see the colors – they all have good formula and they are easy to use.

Have I told you already that I love surprises ? J
